Heartfelt St Lucia Real Wedding

How they met

While attending graduate school in New York State, Emily took a trip to Philadelphia to meet Alex, whom she had met through a few friends. The rest, as the couple says, “” is History.”

Planning process

Emily and Alex imagined their ideal wedding day, imagining “I Do’s” and tropical temperatures on the beach. As one of the best honeymoon destinations in the world, the couple knew that St. Lucia would definitely be a romantic setting.

“We wanted something different and St. Lucia offers beautiful sandy beaches, tropical greenery, Pitons and much more!”said the Couple.

One thing was hindering their plans, and you can probably imagine what it turned out to be: recent times. If you wanted the wedding of your dreams to go smoothly, Alex and Emily needed an experienced professional in their team.

“Our fantastic wedding planner, Michele, with fantastic Caribbean weddings, has been our lifeline,” Emily says. “She helped us with all our decisions, including some tricky restrictions with recent times protocols. Without your help, we would not have been able to plan such an awesome wedding. We had absolutely no Stress!”

Logistics

At that time, St. Lucia limited travel to the Island. This included city trips, non-certified excursions and entry to your resort by external suppliers.

“So we had the wedding completely outside the resort so the vendors could attend,” the couple says. “We booked excursions and suppliers through our wedding planner, who helped us book only certified and approved companies. “

Wedding time

Fortunately, almost all of Emily and Alex’s guests had direct flights from New York to St. Lucia. When everyone arrived, the group was taken to the hotel for two hours. There, guests were greeted with custom-made welcome bags, including personalized mugs, Koozies and shopping bags courtesy of the couple. (Thanks to your Cricut machine!) And because they chose a smaller number of guests (eleven to be precise), the couple was able to finance a welcome catamaran cruise and dinner for the start of the party!

Emily and Alex also spent more Budget on their dream flowers and had an upscale dinner at Rock Maison (a 14-seat restaurant). And finally, thanks to Michelle’s help, the whole group was able to enjoy a full day trip after the wedding.

“Thanks to a destination wedding, we were able to leave almost everything to our planner, spend an devoted week with our families and not worry about not having a deposit for our house,” the couple says. “We don’t contrition having a small devoted destination wedding!”

Advice from the Couple

“Brides who fly: buy a clothes bag and bring your dress as hand luggage,” says Emily. “I easily put my dress, shoes, jewelry, the groom’s outfit, the groom’s shoes and the matron of honor’s dress in my pocket and left room! In this way, when the luggage is lost, all the important things from the wedding day always reach their destination. Also, try to do a make-up trial before the wedding day. For my makeup artist, it was so helpful to know what worked and what didn’t with my skin type.”
